Here you can see the distinctive mail-box scoop that supplied the blown Ford SOHC power plant. The scoop is higher than the chopped top; I wonder how much it blocked Montgomery’s vision while driving.

Speaking of vision, the windshield opening is quite small. That would probably limit the driver’s vision, with or without the scoop.

Despite the car’s radical modifications, Montgomery still entered and exited the car through opening doors.
