In the fifties, you could still find inexpensive prewar coupes in wrecking yards, and even sometimes in used car lots. The original owner of this Willys Coupe probably drove it throughout the war, when no new cars were being produced.
I wonder if the previous owner would recognize their old grocery-getter today. The basic body is the same, but the heavily chopped top and a slit of a windshield transforms the mild-mannered Willys into a fearsome racer.
