The Model A Homecoming photo show
Model A Fords of every description took center stage at Greenfield Village for the 1978 Model A Homecoming. The Model A Restorer’s Club hosted a huge reunion within sight of the Ford Word Headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan. Fifty years after the Model A replaced the Model T, nearly 700 cars returned to their birthplace.
This video shows the huge variety of machines on hand for the MARC event, including coupes, roadsters, sedans, Town-Cars, pickup trucks and several Model AA work vehicles.
You can see many of the same vehicles in the Model A Photo Gallery.

Mr. Bonner,
I was browsing on my computer this morning, and was excited to see your photos and video from the 1978 Model A Ford Homecoming at Dearborn, MI. My father and I attended the show, and had a great time. I still own the ’31 dump truck that is among your collection of photos, and you also have a photo of myself, at age 17 receiving an award for my fathers 1930 Town Sedan, with the chrome covered dual side mount spare wheels! Wow! I was so neat to see this. Do you have any other pictures of the dump truck? I am researching the history of this truck through vehicle registration records at the Wisc. State Historical Society, and have located the family of the original owner. They are still in the excavating business and are going to get me copies of photos they have of the truck when it was new! I am continuing my research on the truck, and hope to be able to track its entire ownership. Thanks for the memories!
Best Regards,
Stewart Masche
